Fit to Sprint

Hi, Friends!

Reuniting our team, Fit to Sprint, for the 2019 Baltimore Marathon Team Relay to support the families in the University of Maryland Children’s Heart Program (CHP), ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Top 50 pediatric cardiology and heart surgery programs in the country.

This year, we pledge our fundraising to the amazing pediatric rehab team that serves the Children's Heart Program. These therapists help families to improve their children's nutrition and mobility after surgery, which are crucial components to recovery.

What could be better motivation to donate or run than to help a baby heal by learning to feed, or crawl, or take first steps? Our goal of $50,000 provides them with their full wish list that includes adaptive chairs, tables and mats, and a specialized scope to assess swallowing.

Also this year, we are fortunate to have Kira Sullivan willing to sub for Anne and run the 6.8 miles of Leg 3! Thanks so much Kira, and thanks to your mom, Elizabeth Leik, for letting us know you'd be interested!

Peace and love,

Rona, Lisa, Yara, Anne and Kira
